Hubby and I dropped the kids off at summer camp at the beginning of the month and took the opportunity to bum around Austin for a weekend. It had been about 5 years since my last visit, which is pretty lame. You see, I have no excuse not to visit more often since I have a sister there. We hit a good cross section of cuisines, from Japanese to Vietnamese and Tex-Mex. The stand outs included Uchiko, a few of the McGuire Moorman restaurants (including June’s voted by Food & Wine Magazine as one of the nation’s best restaurants of the year), and the ubiquitous breakfast taco spots. Needless to say, after all that food, I needed to hike the Grand Canyon to get back into shape (see my previous post https://www.texaztaste.com/explore-arizona-the-grand-canyon/ ). Happy trails! xoM
