Occasionally, I have the honor of being asked to promote a product or service on Instagram or my blog. In all honesty, my first reaction is that of hesitation because I wonder, “What if I don’t like it?”. I am nice to a fault, and the Catholic school girl in me worries that telling white lies has the outcome of time in the confessional booth. Nonetheless, I took a leap of faith and met with the VP of Sales and Marketing for Pomchies, an Arizona company headed by Heather Logan Clark. Clark started Pomchies as an accessories company in 2002 with leftover scraps from her former swimsuit company. Pomchies, whose name and design conjures up images of scrunchies (the popular hairband accessory of the 90’s), instantly looked familiar to me. I ran to my daughter’s bathroom and pulled out her drawer to reveal some blue and gold Pomchies that we had collected a few years back at our school pep rally. This pom-pom accessory that fits around the wrist or ankle was the original Pomchie product, and since our kids attend the same school, it was a staple at school events. I find Heather Logan Clark to be an inspiration as an entrepreneur and mom boss, which in turn inspires me to let y’all know that I think the products are a hit. You can find Pomchies here and here, as well as on Amazon. Let me know what you think!
