Unique Charcuterie Board Ideas for Entertaining

Do you have a group of friends or family coming over for the holidays and are wondering what to serve?  Entertaining with charcuterie platters can be an easy and relatively quick solution to feed a large group, or just a couple of friends. First, you can impress with your knowledge of the history of charcuterie.  Charcuterie (pronounced “shar-ku-tree”) is the French tradition—some argue originally Roman–of preparing and assembling cured meats (like salami, ham, and sausage) and meat products (like pâté) and artfully arranging them on a serving board.

Over time, the term has evolved to include a variety of foods besides meat, including cheeses, artisan breads, olives, fruit, nuts, and dips, and some may not even include any meat at all. The imagination has no limits with what you can design!
